Sweet Angels - SSSC216

Yikes, I am sadly behind in my Christmas card making for this year.  I missed playing along with the SSSC216 but had the sketch still out on my desk and it was just the boost I needed to get me back into the Christmas card making mood.

I stamped the sweet PI Angel onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  Her wings and her halo have some sparkle from my Wink of Stella pen.  This came together so quickly I made up another one but rotated the sketch.

Here are the copics I used.

Aloha - SSSC217

It's been a few weeks since I played along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and yesterdays sketch (SSSC217) was perfect.

I stamped PI Hula Girl onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I used the hibiscus flower die-namic with the matching leaves for my embellishment and stamped one of the sentiments that comes with this cute set.  The flower in her hair has a tiny twinkle in the middle.

On the inside I made a trio of fishtail flags with matching pattern paper and stamped the girl in River Rock ink.

Here are the copics I used.

I'm hoping this tropical card will hurry our spring along!

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 8

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we have another sketch.

I will admit this one initially had me stumped with that circle in the corner but I think I found the perfect image.

I stamped one of Diane Duda's images Life is Good onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  I masked off the sentiment for the main image and then stamped it on a circle - I love that it's perfectly curved for the circle element of the sketch!

I added two Tiny Twinkles for her dress buttons and of course my Wink of Stella pen came out again for her shoes :)  A trio of candy dots finishes off the sketch.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is an Inspiration photo and it's my FAV colour - turquoise!!

Why not play along with us?  Just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

With Sympathy

A sympathy card is never an easy one to make but I hope this will bring some comfort to the family.  The poppies seemed appropriate as I associate poppies with remembrance.

I stamped the poppies, stems and pods onto Bella's Bestest paper in Wild Cherry ink and Jellybean Green ink.  I used copics to colour the middle of the poppies.  The background paper is embossed with Square Tiles Stencil.

I inked the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo black ink and stamped it onto a piece of vellum that I cut out using the Fishtail Flags Layers Stax.  I adhered the banner with two black brads and I like how it's "floating" at one end.

I kept the inside blank with lots of room for writing.  The copics I used were E43, Y26 and Y28.

Bellariffic Friday - Senior-itas

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we're inking up those crazy Senior-itas!  I used Mildred and Maude for my card - they are best friends!

I stamped Mildred and Maude onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  I added a tiny hint of sparkle to their sunglasses.  Maude is a totally cool senior-ita with a hint of purple in her hair and that hot pink cell phone!!

I added a loopy button bow on top of a flower die as an embellishment.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Sketch #8 and you know how I love a sketch - now I just need to decide which image :)

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 7

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we have another sketch, #7.

For my card this week I've inked up one of the new releases Uptown Girl, Maybelline Loves Mail.

I stamped Maybelline onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I didn't do anything fancy as these Uptown Girls are gorgeous all on their own!  I added some shimmer with my Wink of Stella pen.

On the inside I added a notched border of matching pattern paper and stamped the sentiment that comes with Maybelline.  I love when the sentiment is included :)

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is "Senior-itas".  So ink up your favourite Senior-ita image and play along with us.  Be sure to email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Fancy Flowers

Here's another card I made using some of the lovely MFT flower die-namics.

Honestly, these cards come together so quickly and really have that "wow" factor with the 3D flowers.  Of course, I used my Wink of Stella pen on them for some shimmer.  I tell you that pen is a must- have!

Happy Birthday Anna - Sweet Inspiration

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had a "sweet" sweet inspiration photo to work with.

I made this birthday card for my friend Anna - the very friend who got me into this crazy world of stamping about 25 years ago!

I stamped Uptown Girl Ava Loves To Celebrate onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I fussy cut her out and popped her up for dimension on an oval that I embossed with the Petal Circles stencil.  I also embossed the cream bit behind and while my stencil was still in place, gave them both a fine spray of glimmer mist.   I added some Stickles to the icing on the cake and of course my Wink of Stella pen here and there.

On the inside I added a scallop border and stamped the image again with the sentiment in the middle.  I have seen this on other blogs and liked the look.  The image is faint enough to see but I can still write my message over it.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is another sketch and we hope you'll get stamping with us.  I'm leaning towards one of the new Uptown Girls from Emily's latest release - just can't get enough of those girls!

It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win those Bella Bucks.
