Bellariffic Friday - Buttons or Bows

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was "buttons or bows".  I had so many new images to choose from as my Stampingbella order arrived last week....yay!  I decided on the adorable Valerie with Pup.  I love his little ears and tail sticking out from the snow - let's hope we don't get that much this year!

I stamped the image onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured it with copics.  I kept the layout pretty simple because Valerie is so sweet with her face all wrapped up :)

The sponging was done with some Antique Linen distress ink.  And, as no Christmas card is complete without some sparkle, I used my Wink of Stella pen on her hat and mittens and I added some stickles for the snow, then made some tiny dots to imitate tiny snowflakes.

For the button and bow challenge, I did both.  The button has a loopy bow behind and then I added a little Fishtail Flag behind it.

Here are the copics I used.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is another sketch #22.

I'm sure many of  you have received your new Stampingbella images so lets get stamping!  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Batty for Starbucks!

I have been thinking about a Halloween card to make for my favourite Starbucks and today's SSSC242 was the perfect layout!

I stamped PI Batty For You onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured her with copics.  I used my black wink of stella pen for a little sparkle on her bat wings and crystal effects on her shoes.  Of course, there HAD to be the Starbucks cup in there somewhere so I drew a little cup, coloured it and popped it up in her hand!
On the inside I used a bit more of the Halloween paper from the front, added the sentiment and then found the most perfect bat brad to add in the corner!

Here are the copics I used.

I can't wait to give it to them tomorrow...they have been asking for weeks when their next card is coming!

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch 21 featuring NEW RELEASE - Buddy and Jolly

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we're up to Sketch 21.

I used the oh-so-cute Buddy and Jolly for this sketch - they are sooooo stinkin' cute, I didn't need to add anything else!

I stamped Buddy and Jolly onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  I'm telling you Buddy's adorable reindeer slippers just make me smile!  I decided to personalized their mugs with their initials and added lots of glitter from my Wink of Stella pen.

On the inside I stamped the super cute sentiment that comes with Buddy and Jolly and added a snowflake embellishment.

Here are the copics I used.

Too cute to spook!

I had time to play along with this weeks SSSC241 on Monday while I was waiting for a repair man to make an appearance...and yes you did read a bit of 'sarcasm' there!  Anyhow, while I was waiting I made this card.  I did rotate the sketch once to make it work better for me :)

I stamped PI Batty For You onto Bella's Bestest paper with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and coloured her with copics.  I love these little Pure Innocence images - they are just so cute!  I added a bit of Wink of Stella to her bat wings and of course crystal effects on her shoes.

On the inside I added a strip of the pattern paper and left room to write.

Here are the copics I used.

Have a great week.

Wedding wishes #2

Here is the card I was referring to in yesterday's post.  A friend of the bride asked me to make her a card to give to the happy couple.  For this card, I used the colours of the bridesmaid dresses.

I stamped Wedding Gown Circle (discontinued) onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  I sprayed the embossed background with glimmer mist - it looks so pretty in real life :)  I just love how the stacked layers look like a wedding cake.

I've used this layout previously and I'm sure to use it again.  It comes together so quickly and I love the end result.  Here are the copics I used.

Wedding Wishes #1

I went to a friend's wedding on the weekend and it was SO much fun!!  She was gorgeous, he was handsome....it was perfect!  This is the card I made for them.

I stamped Brett and Brenda Get Married onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  After I fussy cut them out I added some Wink of Stella to her shoes and lots of glitter on her dress.

For the background I used some embossing paste over the Scallops Stencil.  When that was dry I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist for some subtle sparkle.  I made a belly band with vellum and stamped the sentiment that comes with Brett and Brenda on it.  I added a small paper rose to the side of the sentiment.  The textured panel is mounted onto the cardbase and I added some dimensionals to the couple to make them stand out too.  I love the way the background turned out!

Here are the copics I used.

I was also asked to make another card for them so check back tomorrow to see that one!

Bellariffic Friday - Fall Inspiration

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had a inspiration photo of some gorgeous fall leaves - wouldn't you just like to jump in that pile?

For my card I chose the colours from the photo and had some fun with my "mixed media" supplies.  So much fun, that I made TWO cards!

For this first card I made my own background paper by painting on several colours of distress ink onto watercolour paper and letting them blend together.  When it was completely dry I stamped Flower For A True Friend onto Bella's Bestest paper with Brillance Graphite Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I added the sentiment inked in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on one side. Please ignore the white blob under the left leaf, it must have been a shadow because it's not on the card :)

For my second card I did it "inside out"...I did the sentiment on the front and the image on the inside!

I taped my Petal Circles stencil to a piece of Bella's Bestest paper and then sponged several colours of distress inks over it.  The sentiment which is included with the image was stamped on a piece of vellum and then attached with two brads.

On the inside I stamped just a portion of the flower in Kraft ink.  I'm not sure how I feel about the "inside out" card but sometimes it's fun to step out of our comfort zone :)

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is another sketch #21.

No stamps, no ink, no copics....oh my!

This card didn't use any stamps, copics or ink pads - how crazy is that?!  The sketch is Karen's SSSC240.

I die-cut the 50 from Big Numbers using Daffodil Delight cardstock and covered them with my Wink of Stella pen.  Then I added a generous coat of crystal effects.  They look so cool in real life :)

I mounted them on two pierced circles.  A little zig zag sewing around the edge and that was it - super fast and a fun card to make.

It's Bellariffic Friday and it's RELEASE DAY for all those gorgeous images Emily has been teasing us with the last few weeks!!!  Keep checking her new website and the blog for details!  I'll keep my post short and sweet because I know you'll want to get shopping!

Today's Bellariffic Friday was sketch #20.

I just had to use one of the new images, in fact I think it's the first one Emily teased us with!

I stamped Tiffany loves to Text onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  Her sunglasses have crystal effects on for some shine and  I used my new black Wink of Stella pen on the dots on her fab shopping bag - I love big shopping bags!

Bundle of Baby Boy

This card is to celebrate the birth of a new little bundle of boy!

I stamped Snookums onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured him with copics.  I made the background he's mounted onto with the Vertical Greetings die and extended it with another strip of blue at each end.  The diagonal stripes background behind him is stamped in grout gray ink - I'm loving the softness of this colour.

Here are the copics I used.  I have no idea why they look so huge in the photo :)
