Bellariffic Friday - Sketch #4

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week we had another sketch.

This one was easy - the hardest part was choosing an image from my growing pile of still not inked images!

I stamped the oh so sweet Baby Bow onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I can see me getting a lot of use out of this image.  I used some retired SU papers and ribbon.  It's hard to see on the image, but I did use some Wink of Stella on her tutu for some sparkle.  On the inside I used the negative of the Crown Border die-namic (MFT) and used both sentiments that come with this image, just because I couldn't choose between the two :)

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Washi or Ribbon - use either or both (LOL) on your card.  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Vintage baby love

I was asked to make a baby card with a soft vintage feel to it.  This was totally out of my comfort zone but I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

There is no stamping at all on this card but I used several MFT die-namics for the felt flowers (Hybrid Camelia Flower and Royal Rose) and the word 'baby' (By The Letters).  The flowers were made with Puff Cloud White felt and I added some seam binding, a doily and a clothesline with some mini clothes pegs.  The paper is MME Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks.  I'm so happy with it and can't wait to see their reaction.

Bellariffic Friday - Flower Inspiration

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was "Flowers" - either the image, the paper, an embellishment or all three!  I chose the newly released Maisy and Madeline Have Some Tea.  I love the big flower on their teacup.

I stamped the image onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  The background was made with the large Polka Dot Stencil (MFT) and while it was still in place I sponged over the dots with some Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass distress ink.  I used some really old Labels Two nesties to cut out the image.  I stamped and fussy cut out another large flower and popped it up for some dimension.  The dots on the teacup are accentuated with a white gel pen.

Be sure check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is sketch #4.

We hope you'll play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Freckles - SSSC255

Almost caught up with my SSSC cards - here's SSSC255!

I stamped PI Freckles onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I used the Blueprints 1 die-namics and attached the little flag with a brad.  Her little top is paper pieced and the papers are MME Lost and Found Madison Avenue.

Big Rock - SSSC254

I needed an engagement card and the SSSC254 worked perfectly with Big Rock.  Can you believe the size of that diamond?!

I stamped Big Rock onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  This is such a fast image to colour, I love it!  I added some stickles to the diamond and two Swarovski crystals (yes, Swarovski!) in the corner which are SO sparkly but the camera doesn't capture the true sparkle.  On the inside I continued the sparkle with a strip of paper and the sentiment that comes with the image.

My Umbrella - SSSC253

I was away on holiday so am a few weeks behind on my personal challenge to keep up with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges but as this past weekend was a long weekend for us I spent most of yesterday in my stamp room. I'm happy to say I'm almost caught up so there will be lots of posts from me this week :)

Here is SSSC253.

I stamped PI My Umbrella onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  The papers are MME Lime Twist Fly a Kite and I paper pieced her umbrella.

Bellariffic Friday - Sketch #3

It's Bellariffic Friday and wow, what a week with the new Stampingbella release!  Check out all the new images here.  For our challenge this week we had another Sketch, #3 of the year.

I'll admit it had me a bit stumped with all those layers but I made it work for a card I needed.

I stamped Snookums onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured the image with copics.  This is for a baby shower and as we don't know if it's going to be a girl or a boy I had to keep the colours 'neutral'.  The paper is retired SU and I fussy cut and mounted Snookums for a bit of dimension.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is "Flowers" - either the image or the paper or an embellishment or all three!  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

It's RELEASE DAY....Gilbert and Minnie under the Toadstool

It's finally here - release day!  Emily has put all the new images up - check out the blog here for all the images.  This little duo is called "Gilbert and Minnie under the Toadstool".  I love the names Emily comes up with - they are always SO perfect for the image!
I stamped the image onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it with copics.  I googled "toadstools" and the first few images were all red toadstools - who knew - so I went with that :)

I added the dots with my white gel pen and used a square scallop nestie to mount the image on.  The paper is Echo Park Summer Bliss.  I stamped the sentiment from Uptown Girls Felicity and Blair onto a strip of vellum.  This sentiment went perfectly with Gilbert and Minnie.  So many of Stampingbella's sentiments can be mixed and matched - love that!

Bellariffic Friday "featuring" Wanda!

It's Bellariffic Friday and it's the first Friday of the month so that means a new '"featured" stamp that all the Bellababes will be using today.  Remember, this "featured" stamp is 20% off at Stampingbella for the month.  Seniorita Wanda is our stamp of the month and she worked perfectly with our challenge for today.....Valentines Day!  Look at that juicy kiss she's got for you and that dress - love the bright colours!

I stamped Wanda onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  I added some crystal effects to those lips to make them shine and just a hint of blue to her hair.  On the inside I added one of the two sentiments "MWAHHHHHHH", onto a Fishtail Flag die-namic, that comes with Wanda - the other sentiment is "I MISS YOU SO SO MUCH!!"  The paper is Echo Park Summer Bliss.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is Sketch #3.
We hope you'll get stamping with us.  It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win.

Teaser, teaser, teaser...Maisy and Madeline

Emily's been showing some teasers and here's a sweet little image for you to ooh and ahh over.  Let me introduce "Maisy and Madeline Have Some Tea".  Are they not the cutest little mice you've seen?!

I stamped Maisy and Madeline onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured them with copics.  I kept the colours super soft and added just a bit of ribbon to card.  The paper is MME Happy Day.

On the inside I stamped the sweet little sentiment that comes with the image.  Emily always seems to pick the most perfect sentiments to go with her images.  This one can be used for so many cards - I love it.  And I love these little mice - they just make me smile!
