Merry Christmas

Wishing you a very peaceful and happy Christmas.

I sponged some distress inks (Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Dusty Concord)  onto some mixed media paper.  Then I stamped the image, Christmas Blessings (Taylored Expressions) with Memento Tuxedo black ink and restamped it again with Versamark Dazzle Champagne ink adding clear embossing powder on top.  It's shiny and sparkly in real life but you can't see it very well here.  The paper is SU Elegant Eggplant.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog this past year.

Starbucks Christmas wishes

It's that time of year - time for the card I give to my favourite Starbucks store and staff!  Each year I incorporate their holiday cup into my card with the design on it.  This year they made it super easy by just having that oh so lovely red cup!

I stamped "Berry" snowman (Purple Onion Designs) with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I popped him up for some dimension.  The paper is BoBunny "Snowfall Collection" with a red card base.  I added some snowy slopes with glitter on top.

I'm sure that's a Venti, non-fat, no water, extra hot chai latte, or perhaps a Peppermint Mocha.  Whatever it is, he's enjoying it!

Merry Christmas baby!

I had another special Christmas card order for a pregnant lady and Brynn has a Baby Shower was the perfect image.

I stamped Brynn with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured her with copics making it all red and green.  The paper is Echo Park "Holly Jolly Christmas" with a Real Red card base.  I stamped the sentiment on a Fishtail Flag and added a couple of bells wrapped with baker's twine.

I love the look of the little bells - so festive with a sweet little jingle when you shake the card.

Have a good week.

Bellariffic Friday - Inspiration photo & big news

Sorry, I'm late with my Bellariffic Friday card this week.  We had a beautiful photo to inspire us. I took the Christmas theme and the colours for my card.

stamped Tiny Townie Ellie the Elf with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured her with copics.  Then I used the new matching Tiny Townie Ellie the Elf Cut It Outs to die cut her perfectly - LOVE these new Cut It Outs!!  No more fussy cutting :)

The paper is SU Pink Passion with a Glorious Green card base.  The pattern paper is Doodlebug "Winter Wonderland".  I embossed the pink with the Polka Dots embossing folder.  I made a little flag with the Pierced Fishtail Flags die and added a pink punched snowflake with a sparkly dot in the middle.  I added some glossy accents to the two Christmas balls and of course glitter here and there with my Wink of Stella pen.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.

The big news is we have teamed up with the super talented Julee Tilman of Mojo Mondays/Verve for our sketches....perfectly called "MojoBella sketch" - LOL.  So here's the challenge for next week - our first MojoBella sketch and I'm super excited, as you know I love a sketch!

We hope you'll get stamping with us. It's easy to play along - just ink up any current (check the website) Stamping Bella image, and email your card to Emily by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks.

Mackenzie turns ONE!

I made this for sweet Mackenzie who turned 1 last month and in my haste to give her the card I forgot to take a proper photo, so I have to use this one taken with my IPhone.  Please excuse the messy background :)

I stamped the image, Baby Bow, with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I matched her hair colour pretty well, if I may say so myself - LOL.  The fun pattern paper is MME Six by Six Hootenanny with a Pretty in Pink card base and some Daffodil Delight.  I added a couple of Fishtail Flags in the corner with a blue button tied with some pink Bakers Twine.  Her tutu, of course, is covered with glitter!

Hanukkah

It's the first day of Hanukkah and I made this card for a few of my friends.  I CASED this card that Melody made a couple of years ago.

I used the Hanukkah Light and Love die-namics (MFT) to cut out the Menorah from some glittery gold paper and glued it on a white Pierced Circle STAX and then added another larger circle cut from some shiny gold paper.  It is super shiny and sparkly!

On the navy card base I stamped the background using Snowfall BG (MFT).  I stamped the sentiment from Happy Hanukkah (MFT) onto some Bella’sBestest paper and then used the Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX die-namics to cut it out.  In keeping with the gold theme I wrapped some gold cord around the edge and added a gold brad.

Stocking Miles

I had a card order for 5 Christmas cards and was told they could all be the same, so I made an assembly line and cranked out 5 of these little cuties.

I stamped the image - called Stocking Miles (Kraftin' Kimmie) - with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  After he was coloured I fussy cut him out and added glitter to the stocking rim.

I mounted that onto a circle embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and layered that onto a Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX die.  The pattern paper is from my scrap pile with a Real Red card base and the Fishtail Flag is Pear Pizzazz.  Across the top I added a piece of red ribbon and tied on two little bells with some red bakers twine.  These are being hand delivered so I could be "bulky" with my embellishments and I love that the bells have a sweet jingle to them!

Bellariffic Friday - Anything Goes challenge

It's Bellariffic Friday and this week the challenge was "Anything Goes".  It's also the first Friday of the month so that means another stamp on sale for all of December at 20% off!  This month we're featuring Uptown Girls Clarissa and Camille Share a Cafe.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I cut out the image using a stitched rectangle die and added some Wink of Stella to the circles on the mug.  The paper is Doodlebug Santa's Workshop with some SU Pacific Point and Pink Passion.  On the inside I used the sentiment that comes with the image.

Be sure to check out the rest of the BellaBabes and the Sistah's cards for this week on Blogabella.  Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is an Inspiration Challenge.  Here's the photo, so take whatever inspires you and make a card with us!

Ice Cream Solves Everything

I had a chance to get ahead with making some cards I needed this past week.  This is such a sweet and super-fast image to colour up and you can make any flavour of ice cream.

I stamped the image Chicks with a Sprinkle on Top with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Bella’sBestest paper and coloured it with copics.  I fussy cut the image out and then mounted it on a piece of white cut with the Stitched Retangle STAX die.  The paper is Echo Park Summer Bliss with some SU Bermuda Bay and Peach Parfait.  I added a generous amount of Glossy Accents to the ice cream and boy do they ever shine!

On the inside I stamped the sentiment that comes with the image.  I love that you can use this image for birthday cards too or just a general friendship card.

Have a good week.
